NJ AltFormat Production Center

The NJ AltFormat Production Center recognizes the need to provide students with eligible disabilities timely access to texts in alternate formats. The primary audience who will benefit from this pilot project will be college students in New Jersey who cannot access printed materials.

The NJ AltFormat Production Center program is available to students enrolled in New Jersey colleges or post-secondary institutions.  This program is operated by the Adaptive Technology Center for New Jersey Colleges located at The College of New Jersey.

This project is supported with funds from the New Jersey Commission on Higher Education. It is part of the Special Needs Program which assists colleges in their efforts to provide accommodations to students with disabilities. This program represents "reasonable accommodations" under the Americans with Disabilities Act and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act.
