- DAISY - DAISY stands for Digital Accessible Information SYstem. DAISY books that we produce will offer full text and synchronized audio with a synthetic voice. Our DAISY books can be searched by chapter, words, and other appropriate headings. DAISY books can be played by various software programs and hardware devices. Our loan program may be able to provide students with software and hardware needs. The DAISY file is what is usually recommended by our program.
- MP3 - This format can be played in a device that plays MP3 files or on a computer with software that plays MP3 files. These files are not searchable. Usually a book will have a separate MP3 file for each chapter.
- Text file - A text file can be opened by many programs and some hardware devices such as a PDA. It can be read with a screen reader program. These files also retain formatting structure, tables and charts.
